Guidelines to visit Air Show Bangalore For Photographers
Hi Folks,
I decided to write this blog when i completed watching the Air show, because i wished that i had a guideline before i came there. There are certain few thing which you will have to take care before going to the Air show, otherwise you will regret it in the end.
First of all you can book the tickets online through the government site itselt. It was Rs 600 for the Air show and Rs 2500 for the exhibition and Air show category. The main thing you need to know before going is that, which gate you need to enter. There are lots of gates there and you will get easily confused even if you ask some ones help.
For the 2015 year show for those who has 2500 can enter the compound through gate 4, 5 which includes exhibition also. For the Rs 600 entry you will have to go to Gate 9A,9B, 10.These people can only watch the Air show , which was the one for me.Actually i circled around 4 Km before i found this gate in the end.
I would like that you take the following precautions .You will have to carry lots of water (even the site say that it’s not allowed). Then you have to carry food because it’s very costly inside. For me one chicken roll cost about Rs 150- What the Hell is that? There will be lot of dust and wind .So take a cap, two or three bed sheet, a mask-to cover your nose and a sunglass/Rayan.
Now coming to the main point for the photographers, you are going to like this event. You can test all your creativity. I used a Nikon 5100, with a 300mm and 55 mm lens. Actually i used only 300 mm Lens (telescopic) to take all the pics and it seems very good. One thing you need to take care while taking pic is that you will have a challenge with the auto Zoom function since the planes are moving very fast and you won’t be able to lock on it.For can try manual zoom, but it’s very risky that the quality won’t be there. In Nikon you can use Sports move to take those pictures. I nearly took some 450 Pics with my camera (largest i ever took for an event)
Once the event is over (5 pm) you can come out of the ground and you can catch a KSTRC special shuttle which will be parked outside the compound.
