So Here is some thing which will help the beginners and some professionals to over come the mounting confusion .To auto mount a device u need to follow the following steps Step 1: U need to create a directory where you will mount the drive .Use the following command : sudo mkdir /media/WinDriveD Step 2: Go To file system in the menu ,then go to /etc/fstab Step 3: then paste the below code in the bottom of the page , /dev/sda5 /media/WinDriveD ntfs defaults,nls=utf8,umask=007,uid=1000,gid=46 0 0 Step 4: By doing the above step, you will be able to mount the sda5 drive to the windrived now start terminal and type sudo mount –a This is how my /etc/fstab look like ----------------------------------------- # /etc/fstab: static file system information. # # Use 'blkid' to print the univers

Howdy Guys, Today i will tell you how to setup a Auto Login in your Fire Fox Browser.Usually Asianet Login may time from few seconds or may be a minute(in my case),This is how you can make a Auto login in any os.. Howdy Guys,                            Many will be looking to how to mount drives when you start the Ubuntu.Although there are many solutions , here is a simple solution to do it.Gut it will need internet connection to transfer a total data about 600KB.Here are the steps Step 1: Open Terminal and type: sudo apt-get install pysdm Tye your password and done,it will do the rest.Now you had installed a new App .To get it goto System>>Administration>>Storage Device Manager Step 2: Left side will show many sda's you have.T know your local drive try this on your terminal: sudo fdisk  -l /dev/sda The above command will display the local drives in your system Step 3: Select on the drive ,which you want to mount automatically and click Ok.All done

Howdy guys, Its been a long time since i posted one.S i had cam with something very helpful for a new Ubuntu beginner , as u may tried to update the Synaptic manager for update ,some packages may get broken and this will prevent you to install any other packages.So to solve it you can open the terminal and type the following two commands: Command 1: sudo dpkg --configure -a Command 2: sudo apt-get install -f Wonder!! it is fixed now...... if not fixed then tell me... bye guys

Here is a tip that will give us the power to shutdown immediate a windows system . “ Just like switching off a bulb ” To do this , open the task mananger by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL . TaskManager Then Click on the shutdown menu .. after that click on the Turn Off Menu By Pressing Ctrl Button , then click .. ShutDown Menu - Taskmanager You can see that the system will turn off immediately… when u switch on the pc you will find that there is not scandisk , or any checks comming up .. .I am oing this .. and found no probs .. The same is applicable to the hibernate link in the shutdown menu … experience the fastest Shutdown
