How to change the login Background image and theme in Ubuntu

Hi readers, This is the method to change the login theme and background in Ubuntu.This has to be done at the following order.Here you will set the appearance screen in the login menu and u need to bring it back else it will make it difficult for you Step 1: Open terminal and type: 
sudo cp /usr/share/applications/gnome-appearance-properties.desktop /usr/share/gdm/autostart/LoginWindow

Step 2:
Logout  or switch user and select the background and the theme u needed to place then login

Step 3:
Now open terminal and type :
sudo unlink /usr/share/gdm/autostart/LoginWindow/gnome-appearance-properties.desktop

Now all done... enjoy Ubuntu...
